My name is Courtney, and as an event planner I often wonder if a bride-to-be knows what type of bride she wants to be on her wedding day. I ask my clients all the time "What do you envision your wedding looking like?" And the typical response is "Isn't that what I have you for?" Based on past clients I firmly believe most, not all, but most brides fall into one of four categories. Are you more of a Traditional Bride, embodying the look of classic popular fashion icons such as Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn? Do you have a daring sense of style that's everchanging? Would friends and family insist you are the ultimate nonconformist that wears the latest styles her way? Then my dear, you are more than likely the Modern Bride. The next bride would be considered headstrong and ambitious. She likes to push fashion boundaries and isn't afraid to take fashion risks that others shy away from. We like to refer to her as an Independent or Individualist Bride. Does the idea of vintage lace and tulle with the aromatic scent of roses filling the air conjure up images of your wedding? Then you are the quintessential Romantic Bride. Hopefully I've gotten your wheels turning. The more I know about who you are as the bride, the better I'm able to plan your special day around you :)
I really enjoyed reading this - and smiled broadly at the typical bridal response. I come up against that all the time - and am always encouraging my brides to tap their inner resources and think about who they are before we hit the boards.
